Route 53 is located in unincorporated Wilmington Township in Will County, IL. The project encompassed adding two turn lanes that consisted of 10" Concrete base course, 2.5" Hot-Mix-Asphalt overlay, and miscellaneous storm sewer work. The project proved to be a challenge, but was completed on time for the Illinois Department of Transportation.
