This project required widening and resurfacing, left turn channelization and traffic signal modernization, on a stretch of road adjacent to one of the largest shopping areas in the Chicago Southland. Work had to be coordinated around holiday shopping traffic.
The work consisted of earth excavation, widening of Wentworth Avenue and River Oaks Drive, drainage work, pavement patching, milling, resurfacing with binder and surface courses, detector loops replacement, traffic signal moderization, channelization with pavement markings and collateral work necessary to complete the project.
